HOW TO PREPARE FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT
If you are in the final year of your academic classes, then it is time for the colleges to offer placement services. This is the perfect time for all you final year students to prepare for the placements.
Campus placement is a chance of a lifetime.
The following are some useful tips for students to prepare for their campus placements;
1.PREPARE A RESUME :
A well structured resume proves to be an indispensable tool. You have to prepare a resume according to the company job description.Resume shows your qualification and your achievements, so kindly make it carefully.The format and presentation must be attractive.
2.CLAMP THE OPPORTUNITIES
You should know about the campus drive ,which type of company comes,job profile,job description ,you must know about the selection process.
3.DRESS CODE
MENS:
Go for plain white well-fitted full sleeve shirts with tie, black trousers without pleats and plain black leather shoes.
WOMENS:
A light-coloured formal shirt and black trousers or a simple, light-coloured saree or salwar suit, will do.
4.BE CONFIDENT
You must be confident about your future goals.
5.GROUP DISCUSSION
You should search for good G.D topics for the preparation of group discussion., then form a group of student for group discussion practice. GDs can be tricky affairs, because you need to walk a fine line between being too aggressive and too meek.
6.APTITUDE TEST
You must prepare for the Aptitude test. Most of the companies take Aptitude test for the selection of candidates. You must have knowledge of current affairs, math,English and reasoning .
7.WRITTEN OR SPOKEN ENGLISH
A candidate is expected to have moderate skills in speaking and writing English.A lots of candidate is fail in this round because they can't communicate in English.
8. HR INTERVIEW
It is the last and important round.Candidate has to be confident and not agitated during an HR interview. Keeping cool, calm and collected is the key to clear the HR rounds.
